Frozen vegetables is better than the fresh one

According to the latest research, frozen vegetables can be more nutritious and better than the fresh one from markets and shopping centers. While fresh vegetables arrive to the table can lose up to 45 percent of valuable nutrients.
On the other hand, frozen vegetables can stand up to two weeks before it starts to lose its nutritional value. Devastating is the fact that 80 percent of buyers believe that fresh vegetables at markets and trade centers in more than four days. The fact is that with a few tricks can seem fresh vegetables, and be aged up to nine days. When we add the time that passes until the vegetables are kept at home, and finally preparing to eat it may take 15 days.

Investigation of the loss of vitamins and nutrients in vegetables was conducted by Research Institute of Food under the sponsorship of companies specialized in Birds Eye frozen vegetables. The company assured consumers that frozen vegetables contain about 30 percent more vitamin C than fresh equivalents. Nutritionist Dr Sarah Schenker said that the nutritional value of vegetables decreased as soon as it picks up from the garden, which means that when you arrive on the plate is no longer nourishing and useful as we think.

Researcher Charlotte Harden argues that it is necessary to reject the view that frozen vegetables are worse than fresh because in most cases it has equal quality as fresh-picked vegetables, and sometimes even better.
