Never in its entire history, people are eating so many foods of animal origin such as we do now. Today, the rich and the poor can buy this food, which is mainly a result of new methods to reduce costs for the breeding of animals 'food'.
Farms where animals are bred for the food industry with their methods of farming produce such a massive and extensive suffering what has never until now has not been seen in agricultural production. In addition, the human population is more numerous today than ever before. Millions of people who consume animal meat also means that millions of tons and liters of water around the world take from the poor to the rich fed animals, and as a result of such practices remain millions of tons of waste which destroy the soil, drinking water and the ozone layer.
In addition to add the fact that today not only have evidence that the human diet based on foods of plant origin but also have a healthier and more non-animal products, which we now easily available (eg, soy milk, cheese, yogurt, pudding , ice cream, tofu, tempeh) and many other very healthy and delicious products that make the transition to a vegan diet easy.
