Apples are good for prevention of type 2 diabetes, to relieve symptoms of allergies and asthma as well as for weight control.
According to the latest report, CSIRO (The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, 2010. Apple Report), eating an apple a day really has a great impact on health - relieve symptoms of asthma and allergies, and keep the weight under control.

"There is good evidence that the intake of apple pomace polyphenols (three apples per day) can lower cholesterol levels," said Professor Manny Oakes, author of CSIRO most publications, and the book "Total Wellbeing Diet."

"Apple probably has a big role in reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes, which is confirmed by numerous studies have shown that women who eat an apple a day are 28 percent less chance of developing it," said Oakes.
Apple peel contains the most polyphenols (vegetable compounds with high antioxidant activity) and antioxidant and is therefore sure to eat whole.
