About omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids

Most important for the proper functioning of the brain are the two essential fatty acids: linoleic (or omega 6) and alpha linolenic (or omega 3).

These are the basic structural components of membranes in brain cells and also are an important part of the enzyme within the cell membrane that allow the membranes to carry valuable nutrients to the cells from them. When the cells of the human body, including brain cells, lack of essential fatty acids they need for growth and proper functioning, they will try to build a replacement fatty acids that are similar, but actually may be harmful.Elevated levels of "replacement of fatty acids in the blood is associated with a diet rich Hydrogenized fat and eating too much where they represented omega 6 fatty acids. It was discovered that the levels of replacement of fatty acids increased in people with depression or attention disorder (ADD = attention deficit disorder). Diet rich with omega 3 fatty acids (such as the LNA from flaxseed oil or EPA and DHA from fish oils) are not only supplies the body healthy fats, but also lowers the level of potentially harmful blood fats such as cholesterol, and it is possible that even and reverses the negative effects of excess trans-fatty acids.
